The theme for the year 2023 Road Safety Week was "Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha".
The aim of the campaign was to raise public awareness about traffic rules. This campaign emphasized various measures that people should take to comply with the government's safety regulations and as result keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
We had teams from all three units i.e Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Patalganga actively taking part in the Road Safety Week Celebrations.
Here are a few glimpses of the events.
Our team at the Hyderabad facility created awareness about road safety, and how traffic rules diminish the incidents of traffic mishaps.
Mr. Ajay Kumar - Sub Inspector of Police, Pahadisherif Division, was the Chief Guest at the event and he shared experiences and some safety tips with all the participants.
In order to improve recall of Road Safety Rules, a Poster presentation, and Quiz competition was also organized.
Our team at the Bengaluru facility assembled and took a pledge to wear a helmet while riding their two-wheelers, to wear seatbelts while traveling by car, and follow traffic rules and regulations.
There was also a key address by Mr. Rajesh Singh, COO, Encapsulants & Backsheets, emphasizing road safety rules and regulations and he stressed the fact that no one should use a mobile phone while driving and stay within speed limits. He also reiterated the importance of walking on the sidewalks and crossing only at a zebra crossing for pedestrians.
Our team at the Patalganga facility celebrated Road Safety Week with the opening speech given by Mr. Rajendra Kankal - Chief Operating Officer, PV Cells & Modules.
This was followed by the signing of the pledge to follow the road safety rules along with photo booths with frames of road safety messages written on them.
